Avila and Segovia: World Heritage Sites

AVILA: Avila of the knights, Avila of the Saints. The city is completely encircled by 11th century walls and more than a city resembles a great castle. Avila has a number of Romanesque Churches, Gothic –Styled Palaces and a fortified Cathedral from 12th century. The city was the birthplace of St. Teresa de Jesus, one of the greatest mystic of Catholic Church. We’ll stop at Cerro de Los Cuatro Postes to admire one of the best views of the city. You’ll visit: The Cathedral (outsides), San Vicente Baslic, and St. Teresa’s Convent.

 


Following departure to, SEGOVIA: It was a very important military nucleus by the Romans
times, proved with the magnificent Aqueduct. City chosen for some of the Castilla’s Kings
as summer residence, preserves one of the most notable medieval entirety of Spain. Time
at leisure for Lunch or included at a typical Restaurant, according your choice.

After lunch you’ll visit: the Cathedral (the last gothic cathedral built in Spain. Its grace
and style have won the nickname of “Queen of Cathedrals”) and the Alcázar (the most
spectacular castle of the country).
